I made this video as a wedding gift for my wife. It was inspired by my first trip with her to her hometown of Chicago. She played the song Lakeshore Drive as we drove into the city, and I fell in love with both the city and the song. I wanted to commemorate that feeling in this video.

I was inspired by the Norman Rockwell painting “Triple Self Portrait”, and I originally wanted to keep some of the humor of that piece in my own VR rendition. But this quickly turned into a study of the discomfort of drawing myself, so I just went with it. Created in #tiltbrush, post in #premierepro. Music by WEARETHEGOOD.
I had this dream a year ago to the day. Drawn in #openbrush, edited in #PremierePro. Audio sourced from #artlist. Here's the description: I think I am that awful superhero Homelander from the TV show "The Boys". Although I also may be partly Captain America? But mostly Homelander. I'm wearing what Captain America would wear, and I am on a crowded beach. Bad things are happening to people around me (I don't specifically remember what). It's "my" fault, as Homelander, that bad things are happening to them. On the beach, a woman in a 1940's style bathing suit wants me to follow her. I am afraid her head is going to explode (this is a thing that happens on the show in waking life). If her head explodes, I will have caused it without meaning to cause it. But she remains unharmed, and guides me through all the people into the water. When I am in the water, I meet a young man. He looks like he's in his early 20's, and he is wearing a white tee shirt and tan cargo shorts. He's very kind and he is smiling. I am not afraid for him the way I was for the woman. He wants to guide me underwater, and I follow him. We are alone underwater, all the people and chaos is on the surface. He says to me: "Do you want to meet the person whose life you took over?" or "Are you ready to meet the real you?" I remember him saying the first sentence, but it's almost like he said both sentences at once, or the first sentence had both meanings. I do want to meet this person and I go deeper underwater with my guide. The water gets very dark, almost black. I notice that I can breathe underwater because I am a superhero, but my non-superhero guide can breathe, too.

I saw this armillary surrounded by swirling magenta glitter out the left side window of a spaceship as I flew by. Made with Gravity Sketch and Unreal Engine.
I was with two other women in a church graveyard, standing around an open grave. The first woman pushed the second woman into the grave, and the second woman laughed up at us because she thought it was funny. We thought it was funny too, and laughed with each other. Then the first woman disappeared. I looked down into the grave again, and saw that the second woman had turned into a skeleton which was laying on a rusty metal grate. I peered through the earth into the grave next to hers, and saw endless skeletons on rusty grates stacked on top of each other, seeming to go down into the earth forever. The whole thing took place on a really nice sunny day, in the graveyard of a church that looked like a little jewel box in the distance.
I did not dream about the interior of the church. But as I was recreating the scene in Tilt Brush, my conscious mind wanted to know what was inside. A standard church setting didn’t feel right, and eventually I landed on this mystical tree growing out of the same dirt from the grave sites.
I also created a dream drawing of this dream, which you can find here.

Nov 5th, 2021 - I dreamed that I was walking by a storefront with a friend. It's a small shop, a circular room. There is old fashioned newsprint on the walls. There is a dress in the middle, deep purple, with poofy sleeves and skirt. As we approach the dress, the room begins rotating, and as we get closer to the middle, everything turns black and white and we know we have been transported to the past. We try to step back to the edge of the room, and we both feel faint - I think my friend fully passes out - the dress turns purple again and color returns to the scene. Once we've stepped out of the center of the room, we are unable to go back to the past again.
Scene made in Open Brush, imported into Unity with added room spin animation, post in Premiere Pro.
I am in a room decorated with 1970’s wood paneling. The main area has a couch, rug and lamp. At the far end of the room, the space is divided into two floors, with a staircase on the left hand side. On the bottom level there is a kitchen area on the left and a dark, undefined area on the right. On the top level, there is an open, well lit room on the left, and a closed, well lit room with frosted glass windows on the right. There are people milling about in the upper right hand room. All I can make out are dark silhouettes. Suddenly, a woman in the room begins screaming. I don’t know why she is screaming. The other people in the room seem concerned that she is screaming, but they don’t know why she is screaming, and they feel a bit helpless about it. They also want her to just stop screaming. In the open room on the upper left, a creature who looks like Frankenstein’s Monster is standing on the edge, looking down below into the main area. He has a funny smile on his face, and a stack of ice cream sandwiches in one hand. With the other hand, he picks up a sandwich and drops it, and I hear it hit the bottom floor. I laugh, looking up at him, and I say, 'That guy is just pure chaos.'
My entry for the #rubberonionbattle June 2017. A dose of dystopia with a dash of hope.
