About My Work
A mix of styles: 2D animation, 3D content created and filmed in VR, live action with 2D animation overlay. Main subjects are my original Monster characters, dream work, and weekly or monthly topical exercises. I’ve included many Rubber Onion Battles, which are monthly contests submitted to the Rubber Onion Podcast. I learned a great deal by participating in these battles, and am very grateful for the support of Stephen and Rob, the excellent hosts of the podcast.
Dream work is essential for my mental health. I get a lot of insight from drawing dream imagery or recreating it in VR. I’ve included some of the dream work I do in the descriptions of the drawings in this section.
I’ve attended a dream group run by Martha Crawford for several years. I find her work invaluable and recommend it highly.
I’ve been drawing these original characters for over 20 years. It started with Itty Bitty Monster and Little Goosey, and the cast has grown over the years. Most Monsters are created in honor of someone in my life.
Occasionally, the Monsters will cast themselves in shows and movies.
